Walking thru the mist
Hearing small drops
Hitting the over head canopy
Causing a white noise
To ignore the leaves
Were all glistening
And the smell of fresh pine is
Overwhelming
The forest was alive
And I felt as though I was too at that moment
Sprinting thru the mass of everything
There ever was represented into
A cloud of dust
Shrieking small drops
Scraping on my head
As it causes burns
To my flesh to ignore
Can you feel it like before
Standing there
Peaking through the space between the trees
Red eyes glared back at me
Never seen anything like it
Horns that towered like giants
Approaching me
In this visceral stance
I faded in and out of comprehension
Of what I was witnessing
As I stumbled and crawled my vessel of pain
I realized
I realized
It was the mist
It was the trees
It was the white noise reflected in me
It was the pain that I use a crutch
to run away from
Accepting what this meant
This is me
